This week saw the sad news that the UK Safety of Rwanda Bill followed passed through all of its Parliamentary stages. Over the months we have continued to raise our concerns and our objections to this drastic change in the way that we deal with people coming to this country seeking safety.
We feel that at this stage we can do no better than to promote the strong statement from the UNHCR, the UN’s Refugee Agency. Throughout the passage of this Bill, the UNHCR has been clear and forthright in their warnings about it and the harmful consequences. We encourage you to read it and to help spread the word.
