As we blogged last month, we deplore the decision of the government to re-open the Campsfield immigration centre in Kidlington, north of Oxford.

This is a really worrying development coming soon after the opening of Hassockfield in the North East of England. After recent years of seeing a decrease in the immigration detention estate, we need to stand firm against this new expansion. We want to see a more humane and compassionate way to handle immigration. We call our vision – a supportive environment.
